[Harp-L] Suggestions for adding weight to a reed?

I've never used a soldering gun before.  I've heard of things like poster
putty and two component adhesive being used to add weight to a reed tip
(thinking of tuning a Low D down to Low C).  Anyone have any specific advice
or brands I should be on the look out for?
