My name is Elizabeth Hess (aka "Tin Lizzie"), and I will be attending SPAH from Florida. This one will be my second.

I mostly play diatonic, and am mostly at home playing blues, but I aspire to play chromatic and I aspire to play country music (at the annual neighborhood picnic) and maybe even jazz, eventually. My downfall tends to be trying to follow too many avenues at once.

I think my proficiency level is somewhere in intermediate-land. I am not a member of a band, but am pretty comfortable at open blues jams. Except I'm still uncomfortably out of my depth if the guitar players on stage with me launch into a series of rock 'n' roll songs.

I *was* most looking forward to taking a seminar with a title along the lines of "Getting The Most from Your Metronome," but couldn't persuade anyone to teach it. Since it's a topic one can teach (and apply!) without having to have world-class harmonica chops, I decided to teach it myself, with the slightly less ambitious title, "Getting More from Your Metronome". I've been reading lots of articles and papers, have watched a great many YouTube videos, have taken some percussion lessons, and am looking forward to sharing the best of what I've learned so far.
