Liz - I use the Pelican case with high quality foam and so many great
features (rugged, pressurized, lockable, etc). They have ones with
wheels, and a few of the area harp players have seen mine and gone the
same way. I think I posted pics here a while back of how I have mine
laid out, it's great! If you had an RP and Richard's patches in there,
you wouldn't need to carry your amp :^) I bring mine because it's an
awesome Sonny Jr Super Cruncher and the other harp players benefit from
using it as well.
PS I saw that you said you put your purse and phone in the trunk, and a
few others alluded to that. As a well-seasoned world-wide traveler, make
*sure* to do that before you depart for your destination, not when you
get there. Because a lot of my peers have had their stuff ripped off by
going to their destination (restaurant, bar, etc) and putting their
stuff in the trunk there when they arrive. There are often bad people
watching those parking lots, and to them this is a huge tip-off that
there are valuables to be had. Skilled bad guys can walk by, pop that
trunk as if they were just opening it with a key as the owner, and be
gone with your things (we've had a lot of laptops stolen that way...).
