In my experience, Sweet Georgia Brown is played in different keys in
different areas, depending upon which instruments will be playing it. (There
is usually a negotiation in key before the tune is played.)  One of the more
common keys here is F, but I have also seen it played in C and D and G.

One of the things that you get used to in Texas is that the Texas Style
Fiddlers like keys like F for all sorts of tunes.  Bluegrassers frequently
are less happy with those same keys, but we take it as a challenge.
Bluegrass and Texas Style fiddlers often intermingle in various settings, so
keys like F for tunes become commonplace.

If someone else has an answer, speak up.  Surely it is played in other keys
elsewhere.
