Patches arise largely from experimentation. Learn as you go. Try this; try
that.
Or someone shares theirs with you.
Or read one of many home recording forums, Mix Magazine, etc
Or you buy them from Richard Hunter, which is appropriate for his hours
of experimentation and trial.
