Re: [Harp-L] Re: Bass Harmonica - advice

As a teacher, he claims to be "experienced" but that is an understatement. Having attended Rubin's Filisko-teach-in session on Chromatic Blues at last year's SPAH10, I was impressed by his exceptional ability as a teacher. If I were currently interesting in learning bass, I would certainly try a couple of his Skype lessons.

He did NOT just play and say "Do that." ...as the guitar teacher does in the currently running TV commercial. He had prepared written material and dissected his subject matter into digestible bites. He had an organized plan that included the time-tested method of Tell 'em, Show 'em, Have 'em show you, and Drill for skill. He payed careful attention to each student and pointed out what he/she was doing right or wrong.

My advice is that if Michael knows something that you would like to know, take a lesson!
