Re: [Harp-L] Re stomp box

Hmm!

A 1/4"x 12x12" ply mountet on a similar sized 1/2" 12x12. And with a hard
rubber spacer at a hinge point, 1/4 inch space would do the same thing!

Again....I want to busk......stomp......and make noise!

Sounds to me as though you want to build an accoustic stomp box??? I
remember being taught that in the old "Punch and Judy" puppet shows they
wanted the stick the puppets hit each other with to produce a loud noise,
without actually hitting the puppets hard and risking damage to them. They
discovered that if they took two thin slats, with a portion of one as a
spacer at the bottom of the stick, it looked like a solid stick, but when
they hit the puppet with it, the two sticks slapped together and produced a
louder noise than a solid stick, hence the name "slapstick" comedy. I
wonder if you could make something like that work as a foot actuated
percussion divice, without an amplifier, which I believe was your goal?
