One last thought regarding your gig tomorrow: (And apologies here if
you already have this covered....)
Although most folks would consider this self evident, nothing botches
a guitar/harp duo performance more than being slightly out-of-tune.
When you tune up before the show, remember diatonic harps are tuned
slightly sharp-to-pitch (ie A=442 or 443, rather than the standard
440.) So....
If the guitarist uses an electronic tuner, ask him to tune A=442. He
won't regret it. :)
Or if he tunes by ear, chances are he'll want to tune his two E
strings to your E. Because harps are never perfect, it's always more
accurate to give him an E-octave (A-harp, 3/6 blow with a
tongue-split in the middle,) rather than a single E note (2-draw or
3-blow.)
Anyhow have fun and break a leg, man!
cheers,
Tom Ball
