Re: [Harp-L] Bending while tongue blocking?

Keep at it Ryan. Set up the block, get the note you are trying to reach in your head. When you reach it, or something close to it, whip your tongue off and quickly replace it, trying to return to the pitch you had.
I learned this off Palmer McAbee's 'Lost Boy Blues'. You can download the track from: http://www.amazon.com/Lost-Boy-Blues/dp/B000SH8ZLG/ref=sr_1_cc_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1296620092&sr=1-3-catcorr
You definitely do not need to return to the pucker.

Hello,
Lately I've been working on getting my tongue blocking down. I've been
doing pretty good. I've even been tongue switching to be able to t-block
the 1st hole. Now I am trying to bend while t-blocking and have been having
a real hard time. I was told to switch back to a pucker to do bends, but it
seems like a hassle to be switching embouchers all the time? Do most people
switch to do bends? If not, does anyone have any tips they could share on
bending while using a t-block embouchure?

Thanks!
