My band played with the White Stripes a few times many years ago.  If I
remember correctly Jack split his signal.  One side went into a guitar amp,
and the other into a bass amp.  I think the Black Keys do the same when not
playing with a bass player. Ray Manzarek of the Doors played the bass parts
on a Fender Rhodes bass piano.
