[Harp-L] Re:Princeton Reverb (Reissue)

I'm presently in the process of acquiring chassis and HV components for a 5f2a Princeton head build. Or that was my intention. Initial components were scavenged from an old movie projector. I have a 2x10 cab for it. I am already planning to punch extra holes - for a second 6v6 later and additional 12a*7s. [Deluxe 5e3?] Plus holes for additional pots on the face. I can snap-in some plugs in the unused holes till I'm ready to use them. Wasn't really thinking about putting a reverb tank inside, but now you got me thinking. That could be dangerous. With a 4" chassis there would be room. Hmmm... =8^D

Do any of the Harp-L amplifier-ophiles have an opinion on the tones of the AA1164 circuit over the 5E3 or AB763? I can always add a reverb circuit to 5E3 or delete the clean channel on AB763 and still stuff it in a 12" chassis. I'm partial to tweed tone, or AB763 [BF Super Reverb 2x6L6's] [Deluxe Reverb 2x6V6's]

Why, if you want a 2x6v6 amp, a AA1164 Princeton Reverb rather than a AB763 Deluxe Reverb ? 12-15 Watts either way. My opinion is the tones from AB763 are to die for. Disclaimer: I have never owned a AA1164. Opinions Harp-Lers? Can somebody convince me to build a AA1164 2x6V6 amp instead of 5E3 or AB763?

By the way, the VHT 6-watt amp thru the 2x10 cab is nothing short of joyful! VHT rawks for 1x6V6 and 6-Watts.

Oh, here Mike. Local Craigslist ad: http://miami.craigslist.org/pbc/msg/2561366764.html Not mine. Unknown advertiser, I have no interest in this sale. Just took a look and there is this clone. A combo.
