[Harp-L] RE: Asking To Sit In

Once upon a time...I was seeing this great band playing at House of Blues.
After a long hard look...i began to talk to the guys, even buy their
cd...but when i told them that i was an harmonica player ..they gave this
strange look, but they told..Ok..late in the set.  So I wait for my turn,
They invite me in and started to playing...And suddenly the singer says on
the microphone: "Man If we knew that YOU CAN REALLY PLAY .I Would invite you
In long before" ...What they told me later, some bands really hates
harmonica players cause they overplay, dont listen to what others musicians
are doin..They simply have no taste..

You better Think before when you ask to sit in  but don't bother those who
are making their bread if you don't have the chops to be cool and sound
good.

For Me. It was a great night!
