An unlimited subscription costs about 10 bucks per month.  I'm using the 
free service which limits you to about 10 hours of music.

One of the main uses for the service would be that you can stream to your 
smart phone.  I do not have a smart phone and am really just using the 
service right now to discover albums by artists I already like that I do 
not have, so 10 hours a month is perfectly adequate for me.
