The Harpking is NOT self biasing. If installing tubes other than those 
recommended, then bias should be checked. Never install 6550 or KT66, but 
6L6/5881 are a possibility, given what I just said.

KT120 draw a little more heater current than KT88/KT90, but all told the current 
draw should be within the HK power transformer's capability. No experience with 
the KT120 sound-wise...I wouldn't get your hopes up if you are expecting a 20% 
hike in power. You may need larger spring retainers as KT120 have a large glass 
bottle?

Does anyone out there know if the Harp King 6x10 is self Bias?  also anyone know 
if replacing the KT90 tubes with KT120 is ok?
