The American dollar has been drifting downward against the Yen and the Canadian dollar (the graph is pretty rough but I'd estimate about 6% in the last few months).  So importing a Suzuki harmonica into the US is going to cost more in dollars, which is probably the main reason for the price increase by the US distibutor.  

Since the Canadian dollar has maintained against the Yen it's possible that our prices would not increase.  However if our Suzuki's come through the same US distributor we'll probably end up with a similar increase, regardless.
