I'm all for a toast of good memories... I had some fine ones at Buckeye, it was the only event I could usually attend, because it was so close to me. The fact Danny G pulled last year's off was an incredible contribution to our community! 
I suspect gasoline over $4 a gallon had a lot to do with it. 

Here's how I understand it works: 1) get a hotel2) get some acts3) get people to buy tickets and hotel rooms 4) pay everybody. 5) figure out how much money you lost, or if you broke even. 
That's the way it's worked for harmonica festivals since the 1960s. I wonder, is there another, less top-heavy way to do it?
