Re: [Harp-L] Can one make a living playing harp?

I'm just a weekend warrior when it comes to playing music. My band gigs quite a bit, especially during the summer months. It often turns into three, or four times a week during the height of the season with festivals, private partys, and club dates. For me that pace starts to make it feel like a job after a while. I'll start to not want to go to gigs. Just about the time I've really had my fill, fall/winter comes and things slow down considerably. It then becomes FUN for me again. I don't think I would ever want to turn music into a job. I'm perfectly happy keeping it a fun hobby. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

One of my favorite quotes. "If you really like music, don't do it for a
living"
