I would agree except to say the complex chords I used are straight out
of the Real Book vol 2, one of the most commonly used sources of
written music for jazz players today.  Considering Georgia remains a
popular song, I'd say these chords are alive and well.  Even for a
chord with seven notes I would play a partial chord with a maximum of
five notes coupled with a melody note for a maximum of 6 notes at
once.  Not so hard, considering I can push 3 notes with one finger.
