Pour some into a plastic container. Let it sit. Or leave the lid off the can for a few days. It will get thicker. There will be a set-up film on the top, below it will be thicker finish. When it's how you want it, pour it out into a bunch of little containers. Everytime you open a can or container, the whole can's worth gets a tiny bit thicker.
