[Harp-L] Best harp to mimic accordion?

Occasionally I need to accompany some tunes that include accordion  
parts, but our band doesn't include an accordion. We're not a blues  
band, but we often put a bluesy spin on things, so a diatonic works  
well for what I need to play; I'm not trying to copy the accordion  
parts but I'd like to get close to the tone. I like the idea of  
mimicking the accordion in first position, but I think that would  
require a chromatic scale. I have an echo harp, but I don't play it  
often and I find it hard to get the crisp attack I'm looking for, and  
bending it is a real pain. I have a chromatic, but little skill with  
it, and it's still not the tone I'm looking for. Any suggestions?
