Hi Martin.
The Aiwa DM-21 is a dynamic mic.  My experiences with Aiwa mics of  
that era have been very positive.  If it is the one I'm thinking of,  
it may look and sound something like this:

Does that look like the mic in question?  If it is cheap, I would  
definitely take the risk.
