[Harp-L] Killer mics for sale Sonny Jr.
I am loosening up my high quality personal stock which has taken me many
years to find such great controlled magnetic elements that are installed in
JT30 shells with stock exterior, but here is the good stuff. I have been
searching for the best low z 14.6 ohm controlled magnetic 99C elements, which
I then use a Shure correct stock transformer to make them high impedance,
1K or above. I have a 1950's 3 digit and two super hot early 60's that were
chosen for their huge bottom end, yet still carrying a true, pure sound. I
used line cord weather stripping to be able to keep the element directly
onto the face of the grill, using my own technique for keeping them solid, no
one has ever in 20 years complained that one came loose. However you can
just take them out if needed with no problem. No epoxy, silicone, or
anything that will make a mess if you decide to have exterior work done. My
favorite volume pots that click on each number so you can know just where you are
at and it will stay there, a plus when using the Cruncher which likes to
run at nearly full speed, then just back off on the mic and the tone will be
exactly the same, just less volume.. Amphenol connectors with adapters
included, which two have. One has no volume pot so a Greg Heumann in line
volume control was installed. They gave a sound similar to a cross between a CR
and CM, with loads of bottom end, yet still robust. If you think the
Turner shells are too small, these will fit perfectly in your hands. These are
my best, and with prices where I see them, for $275 per mic plus shipping
extra, you will not be disappointed. You can trust what I say is what it is..
On another note, I have a customer who I have been doing business with for
many years who due to financial issues needs to sell his brand new
Cruncher, listing for over $1400 plus cover and shipping. It was never used except
for initial notes blown through it at the house when receiving, Mojo will
pack it for him, the cover will be put on then the whole package goes in a
large bag so nothing gets to the amp. Then blown foam is shot into the box
which has handles for grips to help out the UPS people. I trust him to the
point that I will warranty the amp for two years on the circuit, one year on
the speakers. It has Groove Tube middle grade highest quality GED-M GC's,
stock speaker setup of 12" Weber and two different 8" Webers, one for lows,
one for highs.. He wants $1175.00 which is another steal plus $65 for the
padded tuki cover and the amp will be professionally packed by Mojo as he
lives in North Carolina. I will need to know who the person is that buys it
to record an invoice and have the start date of the warranty. You will also
receive two extra preamp tubes, one for higher gain, one for very small
rooms, lower gain, plus a 6 inch patch cable and a comprehensive manual where
everything is explained concerning set up in the first 4 pages; it has 5
different possibilities for plug in set up, the tone controls must be
followed for best results. Thank you. Sonny Jr.
