This wa a tumultuous year for Muddy-Otis Spann passed away from liver cancer in April,and Muddy was recovering from a serious car accident -he was released fro mthe hospital on January 8,1970.

 His band lineup at this time included PeeWee Madison and Sam Lawhorn on guitars,Pinetop Perkins on piano,Carey Bell on harp,Sonny Wimberly on bass,and Willie Smith on drums.
