Does every harpman have to be a constant advert for the blues?  Can't he just be a musician, like a guitarist, a bassist or a drummer (well, maybe) is?  People like Eric Clapton have made successful careers out of having a core genre but being open to collaborations and even albums beyond that genre.

I think it does the harp a great service to broaden its musical reach.  It's a musical instrument, not a "blues" instrument.
