That's pretty much right, the covers do click in, pressure-fit, that's why
the tolerances on the coverplates we get have to be absolutely perfect. It's
designed so that, among other things, should you lose one or both coverplate
screws, the instrument will stay together to get you through your gig.
We plan to have a video on cover removal/reinstall on the Web site in the
next couple of weeks.
