Harmonica and fiddle do work nicely together. I play with fiddles all the time. I've only got one example up at the moment, but this an example of me backing a fiddle on Orange Blossom Special. The harmonica is just a hair louder than it was in the mix, as it was sitting on the stage floor next to me and it picked sound coming from the harmonica as well as the overall mix from the monitor.
