Re: [Harp-L] Paul delay song



I would encourage any blues harp afficionado to lend an ear to his 'does Chicago' album.
I guess this is the closest Delay gets to trad/classic blues harp,but to concur with the other guys,his phrasing and tone shades are just impeccable and inspirational.
In particular,'Whats coming next' is just wonderful.

Boy did he ever!! I was just listening to "Hopefully" off of "Ocean of tears" - he plays on a Bb harp in second position - but it sounds NOTHING like most people's 2nd position work. When I heard it I thought it was such a wonderful example of creativity in second position that I should make a post about it. You gave me the invitation.
