John, do you play all your songs using just the C chromatic? >>

Answer.

No I don't.

I got used to playing diatonic harmonica in "positions"; First position,
"C" harp Key of "C", Second "C" harp key of "G", Third "C" harp key of "D".
I have got in the habit to do this with chromatic harmonica too.

It's not hard to learn a "C" chromatic and play it in every key. BUT, the
chords simply don't work.

For many years I have had a 270 in each key.

My first harmonica ever was a Super Chromonica in the key of "G"... I
didn't own any other key harp for 5 years, so I am probably most "comfortable"
using a "G" chromatic. But I just love my "D" chromatic, and my "Bb" as
well.

But each chromatic key makes a different sound. I guess that is obvious!

If I only had one harmonica it would probably be a chromatic in the key of
"C".

I find it hard to use "special tunings". It's hard enough remembering the
standard Richter & Concert tunings!

I don't care how I achieve the music I make. I simply try to use the
instrument that works for me, for any given piece.

Kind regards
