I'm not a metallurgist, but doesn't chrome contain nickel as one  of it's 
alloy components?  Chrome covers therefore may not be suitable  for someone 
with a nickel allergy.  Another non-chrome matic is the  Hohner CBH.  Long 
out of production but a nice instrument, there  are 12 and 16 hole versions.
