It's funny you would mention that Bill Clarke liked to cook...There was I time that I listened to and studied his music so much, that I would have dreams that I was in California at his house eating, hangin out and havin a good time, I would awake and think to myself, damn that was cool- guess you can say I was a dream stalker...

> I was at a Blues festival some years back, I think Sugar Ray Norcia and his band where there among others. I happened to be seated next to Jeannette- what a pleasant woman she is to talk to, anyway- I mentioned that her late husbands music was such a positive inspiration for me and how I wanted to give her 20 dollars for all the harp lessons I gleaned over the years from listening to his ideas. She looked at me, smiled, giggled then sweetly denied the offer and began to tell me how special Bill was to her and that she was honored that I enjoyed and loved his music. I'll never forget that.

Thanks for sharing that...Jeannette is such a cool person.
It's only because of her that Bill's music continues to be heard...
and there is much more STUFF in the works. I've been friends
with Jeannette since the early 80's...and was fortunate enough
to be living only a few miles away from the Clarke family back
then. I used to stop by quite often...and if I got lucky...Bill had
some of his gumbo or red beans & rice...or collar greens on the
stove....he was one hell of a good cook too!
