This article in the Sunday New York Times Magazine is from the BMI point of 
view. It points out that people surveyed believe music owners should be 
comopensated -- but that nobody wants to pay.
The article also points out that BMI has never lost a case in court, altho 
BMI prefers to settle out of court.

By the way, How many people on this list belong to BMI?
