That seems to be true of all musical instruments, maybe wind instruments 
more so, but even pianist's all have a sound of their own.

When I was a 14 year old kid, first playing guitar, I thought that if I had 
a guitar that even looked like Chuck Berry's, I would sound more like him.

By the way Rob, I'm no  renaissance man, but I have been called a genius 
many times.

Over 25 years ago I had quit my job pounding nails so I could devote myself 
to music full time. My wife (ex now) said, and I quote: "So how we going to 
pay the bills now, genius", yeah, she called me genius many times. JD
