[Harp-L] Fluxtone not just a speaker

Reading the various articles on the Fluxtone website it becomes clear that these are not just speakers. What they do is allow you to vary the output of the amplifiers you are using by 25 dB. They employ what the call variable magnetic technology. Sounds like they can make the speaker be very inefficient and not nearly as loud but without losing any of the tone of the amplifier. They start at $550 and top out at $850. The exponsive versiuon is a Celestion which isn't cheap in a regular version. They're over $300 in an unmodded version. It would be interesting to hear one of these installed in an amplifier. You get a box along with the speaker and the box has a volume control on it. The speakers have modified magnet assemblies. Somebody is making these one off. That's why they cost so much. fjm
