In fact, I was not speaking about playing in all keys, which is the step
further of the debate :-) ... but about playing correctly each single note
you need and use.
BTW, I'm not sure you need to be a virtuoso to play in all keys on a
diatonic ... it's just a lot of work, but it is the same on most
instruments. Try playing in E major on a sax, it's really not easy.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, don't expect ME to play in C# major (try Bb
minor y'all) or E major (try C# minor peeps) on a C diatonic--
If you can do it, good on ya--some can.
Thank heaven for the chromatic slide hamonica, where pitch and tone are more
consistent in every key--not that playing in every key is easy, just that
it's possible for someone who's not a virtuoso.
