Easiest way with the Zoom H2 is to set the silence detection to a
sufficiently high threshold. That way the mega-file won't be made in the
first place.
To get better quality of the tracks you want, though, accept some accidental
"rubbish" tracks which you can delete.
If you need to re-splice some, try "audacity." (freeware)
If you've already got a single track, then "Slice" (freeware option) will
work to split it, either using predetermined number of tracks, equal time
(unlikely) or silence detection.
