Hello Harmonica Friends,
I am currently on tour with the Little Joe McLerran Quartet. We are on/
The Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad/, a program organized by Jazz at
Lincoln Center for the US Department of State. We are touring the
Arabian peninsula. We made history earlier this week when we played a
public concert of American Blues music at the King Fahd Cultural Center
in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Usually, public concerts are forbidden, and it
has been almost a hundred years since there has been non-religious
American music played in public. We had an audience of 1000 people,
both men and women. It was groundbreaking!
