I've seen several
email scams claiming to get you money or property that's been left
for you
in wills, dispensed by courts, left unclaimed, etc.. These
services are
completely unnecessary because states maintain their own service
to track
these things.Unclaimed property and lost
money!
Here are the state-sanctioned unclaimed funds
registries...
National Association of
Unclaimed
Property Administrators
(Click on the link for 'Owners' and then click on the link to
'Find
Property' -- this will let you select your state.)
Missing Money
Both of these sites link you to databases in each state where
you can search online.
