Hi Elizabeth,
I never mentioned another ?singer¹ in my post...I was listening to Brendan¹s
version and it seemed that the backbeat and overall vibe of his track was
much ?heavier¹ than what we are hearing on the National Chase Visa spot. I
think the only singing on the TV spot is just the group vocal towards the
end of the spot.
If it was done in NY, we have many great chromo players that could¹ve played
it: Galison, Meurkens, Hunter, Randy Weinstein, Corrin Huddleston, Gregoire
Maret, Bonfiglio, Phil Caltabelotta are some of the best.....but these
jingles are NOT just done in NY, LA or CH anymore.....you could be in your
underwear in a basement in Topeka, KS and hit send on your PC to Madison
Ave. NYC. There¹s no doubt in my mind that music made in this way cannot
hold a candle to a session of LIVE Musicians interacting and playing OFF
each other, but I¹m just an old dog, pay me no mind.
Well whoever it is, they obviously are not on Harp-L or they¹re just lurking
and laughing at us as they read all these posts!!,-)
AND if by chance it was MY version lifted from another session you can rest
assured I¹ll be at the Union hall requesting a ³Brand New PAY² ,-)
Best,
Rob Paparozzi
