 Too often the beginning player stares at the harmonica as it approaches his face, stops it a few inches away from his mouth and reaches forward towards it with his lips. 

It should be more like taking a drink of water - in which you bring the glass right to your lips, keeping them loose, let the glass rest on your lower lip and tip upwards. Do the same with the harmonica. 

"As you take a drink of water, so shall you breathe your harmonica" sayeth the Iceman

Its more like drinking from a glass, as The Iceman has described over the years, 
as its not really a "pucker" because the harmonica is deeper in the mouth, and 
you are not "kissing" it.

You have to concentrate the air flow so you activate the holes and notes that 
you want.
