Without giving anything away, the word "pursing" implies tension. relaxation is key.

What is the best and most effective way to help beginners learn to play a
single hole through lip pursing, lip blocking, whistle shape embouchure?
I've used the "fish mouth" and whistle shape an inch from the comb.
What else is there?
