[Harp-L] Miles Davis, Kinda Blue, etc
Since the subject of my very favorite musician popped up, all you that play harmonica and are interested in jazz and improv could do much worse than to start to study Miles' music. Kind of Blue is a great starting point. Miles came from a deep tradition of blues and carried this with him through his many incarnations. It's all about choice of notes at any given moment - not lots of notes played all the time. Also, TONE is KING. Even Miles said to develop your sound, whatever the instrument.
