[Harp-L] Suzuki models
If anyone is interested, in addition to a set of Promaters and my
performing set of Hammonds, I have a set of 10 Firebreayhs which I
carry around as spares. I like the Firebreaths just fine. I think
they are superior to the Promasters and at least on par with the
Hammonds.
I prefer the tonal characteristics of the Hammonds, though, but if
i've got to use a Firebreath I've got no complaints. (I carry a
spare set of harps in case a reed fails on my performing set, but
despite 2-3 years of regular use, I've never had a reed blow out on
any of my Hammonds. But no matter how good the harp is, if you eat
something between sets and don't rinse your mouth thoroughly before
you go back on stage, you can jam a reed with a food particle, and on
those occasions, I've had to use a harp from my set of spares.)
Love my Hammonds, but there's nothing won with my Firebreaths.
