[Harp-L] Hough-Kohler in Toronto

Hough-Kohler, the Toronto distributor for Hohner and a major player in the Toronto harmonica scene, became Hohner-Canada sometime between 1970-1974.  Fred Mather, a 25 year SPAH member worked for Hough-Kohler.  He was the kind of guy who would fix Don Les'  bass.  Lot of the "older" players knew him.  I met him once before he died in the 1990's.  Jeffrey Wilson Sr. took over from Fred during the Hohner- Canada Days and when Hohner-Canada closed in 1986, Jeff Wilson started Wilson Music Services and took over the Hohner business.   Jeff Jr., the present owner, took over his father's business, and is today still the the "Hohner guy" for most players in and out of Toronto.

The Canadian Ace (same as the American Ace) stopped production in 1986 as well.

Maybe Danny Wilson or anyone else can add more information to this story?
