[Harp-L] RE: Is your wife in the crowd?

Short answer, No. Before this autumn we were both too busy. She had a very
demanding full time job and a couple of nice little consulting contracts on
the side. I was doing all of the things a solo practice lawyer does to keep
all the balls in the air, including the social side of it. No time or room
for each other to be involved. August, I was diagnosed with a condition
that demands that I slow down. Sept. she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Now, we are at home together as she recovers from surgery. I do most of my
"legal work" from my home office and only go out when I have to go to my
formal downtown office to see clients or other attorneys, take a deposition,
etc. or when I have a court date. As she recovers, I intend to learn how to
tolerate home shows, decorating presentations, etc. and I expect that she
will learn how to kick back and enjoy the local music circuit. And, I hope
we both re-learn how to travel together rather than separately.
