So sorry you're qualifying what I wrote as a 'tirade', Warren. I put my
post on the 'ell' as a way for you to use to explain your off-beat and
sarcastic sense of humour.
Because I get the list in digest form and left for an appointment
immediately after sending it in, I hadn't yet read your explanation as to why you'd
deliberately write a provocative post to stimulate responses about GSHC.
Something doesn't quite fit, though...especially since I've now come home
to an extremely angry and upset phone message from you (which certainly did
qualify as a 'tirade'), pretty much refuting your explanation that any
publicity or conversation about the event is good (if I'm reading your
explanation right), since you seem to be now 'shooting the messenger' - for trying
to tell you about other people's reactions to that singular post of
yours....the one meant to stir up precisely that reaction?
Not once did I say that I thought you meant what you'd written (if you
bothered to actually read my words instead of reacting). Frankly I thought
someone had hacked your computer or written the post without your knowledge,
since you rarely (and I'd made this clear too) made typos or failed to
sign your posts sans your Entertainment Director title. I gave you every
opening imaginable to explain. It's odd you didn't mention in my return phone
call to you exactly what you'd fired off to me in response.
You've most definitively shown your intent in this current post to me. Why
the sarcasm and payback if the response you got was what you were aiming
for all along? Doesn't compute.
I guess the old adage about 'a good offense is the best defense' is
absolutely true. Wot?
