I got an off-list email via facebook asking if I wanted to join and/or be 
your friend.  Thanks but that is not my bag.

The way this list is set up it is easy to get the email address of other 
members, but it is a private situation, and I expect that my email address 
will only be used for communication relating to Harp-l.  Now that my emaill 
address is on a file somewhere in facebook, God only knows what spam or 
unwanted contacts might arise.  I suspect that I am not the only one who 
would see this as a bit irresponsible and a breach of privacy.

It may be that you are not a real person (the world being what it is these 
days) but if you are, here is my advice.  Your post to Harp-l as a group is 
fine with me, I can ignore that.  But your email to me via facebook is not 
fine with me.  This is just so you (and everyone else) knows where I think 
the boundaries are.  Thanks.
