[Harp-L] Re: Garden State Harmonica Festival...Count-down & 16 days to go!
All of the hard work that we have done to make our 37th GSHC Festival
really successful is now becoming evident. With over 125 attendees
registered and more still coming in strong on a daily basis, we are
very pleased to be able to share our roster of super seminars and an
unbelievable line-up of harmonica talent with you. I'd like to thank
all of you who will be attending for your vote of confidence in our
ability to "revive" the greatness that took place at our previous
festivals. With last year's 37th festival never taking place, we have
more than doubled our effort to ensure this year's success! In fact,
this festival promises to be "the best" yet! As a result, we have
even more harmonica talent than in our last few festivals, with six to
eight performers showcasing their talents with you every night and at
our Saturday Matinee show and lots of blues jams and jazz jams. Check
out our web site for the latest updates. New "cameo" appearances that
we managed to fit into our shows include the dynamic talents of
"Octavia" who is a triple threat with her cool singing, guitar and harp
playing who will be part of of our Friday Evening show. After spending
time at Enrico Granafei's great jazz club "Trumpets" located in
Montclair,NJ to see the jazz virtuoso, Hendrick Meurkins perform his
harmonica magic, we are delighted to let you know that Hendrick will
be part of our Saturday evening show, together with Enrico! These
three days of talent at one gathering is an amazing feat and as one
player said "This is becoming an East coast SPAH!" What a great
compliment! And we welcome Danny G and Richard Loving as vendors of
New Harmonica carrying Suzuki and Seydel and with access to Hohner
products. Reps of Suzuki, Daron and Os of Seydel will be there to help
answer your questions. Harp Depot will not be attending this year. By
the way, Bill Price giving a seminar on chromatic repair also repairs
diatonics and will be available non-stop to help you at no cost!
Thanks Warren for posting about the typo glitch in our directions,
having people coming from Rt.287 and getting off on exit 6 instead of
exit 64! They would have ended up at a beach in Delaware instead of at
The Holiday Inn located in Hasbrouck Heights,NJ. That's been corrected
on our web site at:www.gardenstateharmonicaclub.org.
Lots of good things are happening every day with people signing up on
a daily basis. Please make your reservations now, because this
harmonica happening could be sold out! We are making up the banquet
seating tables and want to remind you to get your tickets right away!
Don't miss out on this East coast extravaganza! The hotel will still
honor the GSH special rates of $109 plus tax.
For those people who are flying into Newark Airport or La Guardia ,
the hotel suggests that you contact Mike McCormack at A&S Car Service, 862-215-5154
or at www.a-s-limo.com for the best rates to get to the hotel with
more people costing you less.
Looking forward to seeing you: Smo-Joe, Elizabeth, Buzz, Warren,
Venky, Marv and Roger, Rob, Dennis, Enrico, Hendrik, William, Randy,
Charles, Chris, Al and Judy, George, Wally, Carlos, Dom and Tony, Jia-
Yi, Giovanni, LD, Jay, Zack, Josh, Joy, Charlie, Roger and all the
rest of our wonderful harmonica friends! As Phil C. always says:
"Think harmonica" and I'll add "Think harmonica festival!"
