Sad news. Jim Fitting introduced me to his playing in the 70's, 
particularly the solo on "Age Old Puppet" from Desert Horizon. We'd 
heard nothing like it, the solo still plays inside my head. Years later 
Norton played a show in Sydney Australia, before the encore I called out 
the tune. He laughed, said that it was an old one.
