[Harp-L] Re: Videos for fun and encouagement
Opus314.
Thanks for your comments.
There were two cameras, both in fixed positions i think. One was on a
tripod and could be rotated I believe. Don't know the makes or models
off hand. Microphones were in the cameras, and there was a small on the
table right in front of me. The video and sound were recorded into a
laptop, and then edited, enhanced, etc later. The recording/editing was
done by a Japanese couple. And our guitarist helped with the editing.
The lighting was just the normal bar lighting. I played through our
small Yamaha PA, using a Harmonica Honker or the vocal mic. That's
really all I know.
The bass and guitar amps were were not miked; no lines into the PA
either. The drummer has one of those things that looks like an
oversized floor tom, with the snare on the top and the bass drum on the
bottom and struck from the bottom. If you are a former drummer, then
you probably know what I mean.
I'm using a D Hering 1923.
To John: Most of the patrons were behind the cameras at the bar and in
booths. I guess there were about 20 people there.
And for what it's worth, there is no music cover charge. As I said, for
fun, and for FREE too.
