Re: [Harp-L] Hohner Price / Tolerances

Will be interesting ... actual cost of production is usually the thorn
in the side of startups using new technologies ...

As dinosauric as the existing players may seem, the industy has enough
"players" and price pressure to be competitive enough that the
established mfgs. would be keeping their eyes on applicable new
technologies as well.

A victory for Brad, it would seem to me, is to be able to make
harmonicas with tighter tolerances than the existing products whether
that be a $30 or a $300 diatonic that can be produced with enough cost
efficiency to compete these products on price.

And if he is successful, then who will want to aly with him? That is
acquire his company and it's technology.

It will likely be cheaper for one of the existing players to "buy"
rather than to "build" plus this would give Brad a chance to recoup
his investment and to gain better access to distribution and retail
channels.
